Wedding Pictures... but not ours! ;)

Hi everyone! This post is mostly for my mom, who wanted a way to see the wedding photos from my cousin Mark's wedding to his beautiful bride Lindsey! :)

A New Year

Well, happy new year everyone! :) We're still here in Virginia, still busy with work and school, still missing friends and family far away.

We want to thank all of you who are praying for us... it has been quite an intense time these last months. Our God is faithful and He is sustaining us and giving us His peace, and even His joy. There are also the other days too... But thanks for your part in upholding us.

Here's a picture from our first anniversary--we went out to a late lunch to celebrate. :) It was a fun and funny day... I was still choosing my presents for Javkhaa right before we ate! (Let's just say it had been a very busy week!) ;) We had a wonderful dinner and then drove down to the beach to listen to the ocean before going home. That evening's agenda? More shopping with Javkhaa's parents!!

Yes, aav eej 2 (father and mother in Mongolian) safely made it home to Mongolia before the new year, even with a stopover in San Francisco that was under an hour! We prayed them through that connection and remain thankful to the Lord for helping them find their way in such a short time. It was wonderful to have them with us during Christmastime.

Well, that's all for now. Wanted you to know we're still around. Thanks for your continued prayers for us; you are in our hearts.

It's been a very busy and full autumn, but we are doing well (and enjoying Virginia's mild weather!). Thanks so much for keeping us in your prayers... we appreciate that so much.

Representing Mongolia :)

The church we go to here in Virginia had an art festival a couple of weeks ago. Javkhaa volunteered to write people's names in Mongolian script and I helped cut paper for the calligraphers. It was fun to be able to wear our hurums! :)

The Lord's lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Thy faithfulness. (Lam 3.22-23)

Javkhaa has plans to post some recent pics of us here (maybe in our new apartment) but we didn't bring the camera to school today. However, just to alert anyone reading, there will be more coming soon! :)

Until then, here's a picture from earlier this summer: Rose is the wonderful lady we were living with, and her 2 grandchildren and another friend are here with us in the family room.

And here's a picture of us with my mom and Javkhaa's parents when they visited Philadelphia. :) We had fun together at the Perkins near my mom's apartment.

Javkhaa's classes started last night and he has "CORPORATE FINANCE" tonight. That's a tough one, it is said to be the hardest course in the whole MBA program so you can remember that in your thoughts, folks. (And ask that the textbook we ordered online would arrive SOON!) I'm still thinking about taking a class in the Spring, but I havent' applied yet, so maybe I'll wait till summer. It seems like I'm quite busy without adding readings and assignments to my life!

I'll sign off now--it's getting late and I'm tired, but have a quick run to the dollar and drugstore to do before going home. THANKS to everyone for your emails, notes on this blog, and your pryrs. We appreciate each one of you!

Hi, guys, sorry that it is taking us so long to post our new pictures on our blog. But many things are going on our lives such moving into Regent village, my birthday, camping, job,immigration interview and school. So please, do understand that we weren't able to post those pictures. This semester I am taking 3 classes and today I had one of them which was a real fun and lots of laughter. It is called Teamwork and Interpersonal relations. Guys who teaches this class has good sense of humor and makes lots of jokes in class like I do sometimes. And I enjoyed it a lot. Actually everybody in the class enjoyed, I think.

Let's see. What else is going on around here? This summer break was very busy for us as we went through cycles of business in the USA. So we decided to take some time off from our busy life and we went camping in the First landing state park in Va beach. That was great time, and we had really good time together sleeping in the tent and hiking, swimming, cooking and sleeping in. The park was great place to hang around. Finally, it also good to be back home.:)

We have many reasons to be thankful to God and for His blessings on us. It is like verse from Psalm 67:1-2.

We'll do our best to post those pictures very soon. Now I need to leave since it is 8:20 p.m here. And I am still in the computer lab.

I know, I know, it's been too long...

Hi everyone! Thanks to those of you who've still been checking out our blog, even though there hasn't been much to look at lately. SORRY!!! We've just been a little busy here. My mom is coming for a visit today, and we're looking forward to having her here. We'll take off for the airport after I finish work and bring her to see our home, where we've been living for the past few months.

BUT WE HAVE GREAT NEWS about our housing: we got an apartment in student housing!!! :) We'll move into Regent Village sometime in the next week or two--it will be our first home for just the two of us. Yay! We're looking forward to unpacking all the way and really settling in. So thanks to all of you who prayed and were hoping this would work out for us. Really, thanks and mash ikh bayarlaa!!

Saikhan Naadaarai!! (Happy Naadam!) :)

We just watched Sumiyabazar win the wrestling finals on TV5 from Mongolia! (Isn't the internet an amazing thing?!) Javkhaa and his dad and brothers have long cheered for their guy, but this is the first year he's won the title, after being 2nd place for about 3 years in a row.
WOO HOO!! :)

Visitors to Virginia

My cousin Amy, her dog Iggy, and her boyfriend Alessandro (woo hoo, Italy won the World Cup!) came to visit us here in Virginia a couple of weeks ago. It was great to have guests, though we're so new here ourselves I don't think we were very good tour guides...

It was quite a windy day. Today is raining too--I am learning what "hurricane season" means down here. This morning was sunny and beautiful (though oppressively hot and humid). Have to learn to take an umbrella everywhere! :)

Take me out to the ball game...

Recently Javkhaa got tickets to a local baseball game--the Norfolk Tides. "We" won, something like 10-3. It was fun--Javkhaa's first game (in person, anyway). Can you find him in the picture? ;)
