The weather in UB is approaching its coldest, and the air pollution from all the coal burning stoves and traffic is at its worst. Ever. This is pretty stressful for people and takes quite a toll on everyone, but especially children, the elderly, and those in poor health. While I am thankful that we live in a less-unhealthy area of town, it's heartbreaking to think about the conditions many are living in. Hope that this year the officials will take more action to reverse this alarming trend.
Kids have been on vacation for 3.5 weeks now and the gov't just determined that next week will also be a break. Glad for them to have a little more time to rest at home and stay inside. Hope I can think of some fun things for them to do, though, so they don't go stir crazy. :)
Family in review: Y is 8 and in 3rd grade, B is 6 and in 1st grade (!) and M is almost 2 and a half. He is talking up a storm and very mischievous.

Well, that's all for now. Those exams are waiting. Nice to be back!
